Nauroti Devi is a Dalit woman born in our Ajmer District in the village of Harmada. She did not receive any education due to her family's financial conditions yet she was elected as the Sarpanch of her village Harmada due to her contributions towards the empowerment of Dalit Women. 

While working as a stone cutter, Devi noticed the difference between wages of male and female workers and raised her voice against it, she even took her case to Supreme Court and won. Thus leading to equal wages for female workers. She later went on to educate herself at the Barefoot College.
